This scheme saw the creation of two new ‘BREEAM excellent’ office blocks, two car parks, energy centre and a new access road. Through early involvement at the design stage, under construction management, the client made significant savings by incorporating contractor-initiated design changes, a biomass heating system, significantly reduced operational costs, and the achievement of sustainability targets. Further substantial savings for the client were made through careful procurement and management of the trade-contractors. The client achieved their targeted BREEAM Excellent Rating. The whole project was delivered with minimal disruption to the existing tenants through carefully planning and consultation.
